Recent accomplishments of Ted's Students.


Congratulations to Molly Holbert, & Andrew Forjan
Harrisburg, PA – Blue Ridge Country Club hosted 63 players on Thursday, June 18 for the first of four Philadelphia Section Junior PGA Championship – Local Qualifiers.  The low third and ties in the Boys 13-18 Division and 12 & Under Division (Boys & Girls) are trying to qualify for a spot in the Philadelphia Section Junior PGA Championship on Monday, July 13 at Blue Bell Country Club (Boys 13-18 Qualifier) and Applecross Country Club (Girls 13-18 and 12 & Under Qualifier).  The low boy and girl will then advance on to the 40th Junior PGA Championship at Miramont Country Club (Bryan, TX) on August 3-6.  During the qualifier, most junior golfers experienced a cloudy and rainy day for golf on the par 72, 6,365/5,920/5,420 layout.William Mirams (Stroudsburg, PA) carded the low round of the tournament in the Boys 13-15 Division with an 18-hole score of 71 (-1).  Mirams had 5 birdies on his afternoon including a birdie on the last hole to finish 1-shot ahead of the then clubhouse leader, Benjamin Pochet (Royersford, PA).  Wrapping up the division in 3rdplace was Billy Civitella (Berwyn, PA) with a 74 (+2). 
 
Robert Falconer (E) had the low round in the Boys 16-18 Division with an even par round of 72.  Falconer carded 4 birdies on his round including two “2’s” on his scorecard.  Andrew Forjan (York, PA) finished one shot off the pace with a round of 73 (+1) to take 2nd place honors.  In a tie for 3rd place at 75 (+3) were Ross Pilliod (Sinking Spring, PA) and Matthew Pulgini (Middletown, DE). 

In her first event on the PJT, Nina Kouchi (New Hope, PA) placed 1st in the Girls 13-15 Division with a round of 80 (+8).  One highlight to mention on Kouchi’s round was the lone birdie she had on the par 4, 12th. 
 
Molly Holbert (Mechanicsburg, PA) took home 1st place honors in the Girls 16-18 Division with a round of 83 (+11).  This was Holbert’s first career win on the PJT.  Grace Stillman (Lititz, PA) posted a 90 (+18) on her day for 2nd place.  Alexis Wyandt (Dallas, PA) carded a round of 92 (+20) to finish in 3rd.
